We see a church in Pampa that is audacious in its actions, a church that will set the climate for the city in its pursuit to the presence of God – always willing to run this race for His kingdom, while never passing the people for it.
This church will always be about people, and it will always be relevant to its surroundings, but never willing to compromise. We will not apologize for who we are and what HE has called us to. It will have a unique sound that comes from the people that fill it. People will be empowered to not settle for the circumstances of life, but make steps to change it.
We will PAINT THIS TOWN red by the blood of Christ and with the love of God in word as well as in action.
The pulse of Pampa can and will be affected by the empowerment of every man, woman and child. There will be no separate youth ministry to set the young people aside while the grown ups play. Instead, as a family, we will be able to grow together in our pursuit of God’s vision for our homes, our families, and the city we live in.
Our large group gatherings will be unashamedly unique in the fact that a father and son will worship together, receive the word together, be empowered together, and grow together. Large group gatherings will be to celebrate what God has done that week in the community. It will be uniquely designed with modern ways to worship, while empowering every person in the room to not just survive the world, but to change it. Home groups will be a source of stability, prayer, encouragement and love on a weekly basis. The church will not be a Sunday morning meeting. It will be THE PEOPLE acting as the church. Reliance on the pastor to save people is over. Reliance on the pastor to be the only one feeding is over. The church will meet everyday in the market place. Empowered people will be the hands and feet of Christ everyday. Saturday night will now be a time to celebrate the victories of Christ each week. Saturday evenings will be the recharge. It will not be the only avenue for hope of salvation. We will celebrate the testimonies heard on a weekly basis of how the Lord is moving, shaping, and changing the culture of our city. Dynamic worship will be heard, seen and experienced with many different forms of creativity.
We will be a body that knows how to give in a way that truly influences the Kingdom of God. We will pay for the kingdom with cash! In other words, we won’t operate with the world’s grip of debt. Plans can be made. Dreams will be given. And all of it will be done debt free. We will lead the way in our life of worship with a church that is free of debt. If there is a look for the modern American church, we don’t want it. But make no mistake, we WILL look like The Church …and what does THAT look like? When the people meet, we’ll find out.
We will be a MISSION BELL that is heard in a city of deaf hearts.
This church will have a voice heard around the globe. Modern worship will be heard from here into the nations. We will resound with his calling in Pampa, with an echo that will resonate all over the country. People will hear us and see us via the web and radio. This church will GO TO the people. We will seek out the people. Resources will not be depleted in a facility or staff. Resources will be managed to always serve the people. Our people. God’s people.
